CSAIL

MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) was looking to build a world class website to represent the largest interdepartmental lab at MIT (which includes Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web). They needed a few key things:

  • It had to be the best website of any of their competitors
  • It needed to provide a window into the incredible work going on in the lab
  • It would need to support several different audiences simultaneously
  • Because of their busy schedules, they needed a team that could work with a minimum of supervision
  • It had to support development and outreach goals
  • It needed to be build in a content management system that would allow them to manage all of the content themselves
  • It needed to satisfy 95 principal investigators, many of whom are rock stars in their respective fields

This was Indigo Digital's first Drupal 6 website and some of the features we developed for the site have been shared across the greater MIT community. We partnered with Stoltze Design and Nimble Partners for this project.
